Biography
Sen Nieh’s research interests include applied power, heating, and propulsion systems, combustion sciences and engineering, fuels and boilers, pollutants control and waste treatment, applied thermodynamics and heat transfer, HVAC and refrigeration, multiphase fluid dynamics and systems, and applied electrostatics. He is the recipient of the Lectureship Award of the United Nations in 1992 and the Awards of Honorary Guest Professorship at 3 Universities in China. He has served as the principal investigator of 15 government-funded research projects and 3 industry-funded R&D/Demo projects with a total external fund of $2.0M+. He has established and directed the Combustion Engineering Research Lab, the Multiphase Flows Research Lab, and the Environmental Engineering Lab.
