• The faculty of the department is actively engaged in research including signal processing, communication, image processing and visualization, electromagnetics, robotics and intelligent control.  Most of the research projects is funded by government agencies and industries such as NASA, US ARMY, NIH, US AIRFORCES, totaling about a half million dollars a year.  A number of research assistantships for funded research projects is available to eligible graduate students.
