The Program

Construction is the second largest industry in the United States, and is becoming more sophisticated as a result of increasing computer use and the application of efficiency and automations aids. The CUA Department of Civil Engineering has established a unique program focused on giving the students an undergraduate Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree with specialization in Construction Engineering and Management.  This defined concentration program has provided leadership in the field for decades, graduating many highly successful leaders in the construction industry. With a strong technical background in both civil engineering and construction and knowledge of the construction process gained through arranged summer internships, begin their careers well prepared. Graduate engineers from this program are highly competent, both technically and from practical experience, and have been strongly pursued for first employment by construction companies throughout the nation.
