Dr. Tran is presently an assistant professor in the department of biomedical engineering and is the director of the Cardio-Pulmonary Research Lab (CPRL) at The Catholic University of America . His major research and academic interests pertain to the areas of cardiac and pulmonary mechanics, biomedical imaging, biomedical instrumentation, home care technologies, and home health care.He received a bachelor of science and master of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and from San Diego State University, San Diego, California, respectively. Dr. Tran obtained his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
