Your grades will reflect the quality, detail, and overall effort of your group
reflected by your project reports and presentations:
1. Technical quality of your design
- quality of your project (both written reports and presentations)
- the amount accomplished on the project during the semester
- creativity
- engineering skill (design difficulty, calculations)
- understanding of the medical issues related to your project
- thoroughness (including literature review)
2. Attitude and professionalism
- regular attendance and participation
- the ability to solve problems you encounter when working on the
project
- addressing questions which are raised by the instructor or advisor and
incorporating suggestions into your design
- completeness and thoroughness in keeping your design notebook and in
the final design drawings
- attention to detail
- ability to communicate effectively (special emphasis is placed on
visual communication, e.g. sketching)
- sustained effort throughout the semester
You will also be evaluated on items handed in, such as:
- design notebook (individual),
- progress reports (group),
- written reports (group)
