  • Biomedical Engineering student wins Outstanding Poster Presentation award

    Congratulations to Kathleen Sheridan, senior in Biomedical Engineering, whose poster “Laser-Based Tracking System for the Characterization of Nanoparticles” was selected as one of two winners of Most Outstanding Poster Presentation in the undergraduate student category at University Research Day. Her work was supervised by Dr. Christopher Raub, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and her project collaborators were Dominic Padova and Brian Simmons, both also seniors in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Engineering Professors win CUA Research Awards

    Two engineering faculty members were recipients of university-level research awards. Congratulations to Dr. Gunnar Lucko, Ordinary Professor of Civil Engineering, who won the Award for Achievement in Research, and to Dr. Xiaolong Luo, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, who won the Young Faculty Scholar's Award. Both awards were made by Provost Andrew Abela at University Research Day on April 20, 2017.
  • George Nehmetallah awarded NASA grant

    Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science George Nehmetallah has recieved a research grant from NASA. The $95,000 award will support students working on the BETTII (Balloon Experimental Twin Telescope for Infrared Interferometry).
